IDS/IPS

Intrusion detection or Prevention System is a hardware tool(can also be a software) that is typically placed between the internet and the firewall.

Its job is to prevent and alert/ alert and prevent a network from outside attacks.

These attacks include – viruses, malware and hackers

It monitors traffic flowing through a network looking for suspicious patterns.

If it finds any, it alerts the network admin of the pending danger.
